To remove general dirt and standard debris, simply spray the area with a water hose to remove all material accumulated on the surface. Then use warm, soapy water with a mild detergent and a soft- bristle brush to eliminate dirt and grime from the texture of your composite deck.
Tannins can be removed from the surface of your composite deck as well, using similar steps. Begin with removing all dirt and debris from the surface with a garden hose or even a broom. After the composite deck material is dry, apply a deck brightener product to the surface as recommended by the manufacturer of your particular composite deck.
The removal of ice and snow from your composite deck should be done carefully, as to avoid damaging the surface. Use a plastic shovel to remove the snow and any ice you can, then use calcium chloride or rock salt to melt the remaining ice.
